Matthijs gives advice, litigates – also in arbitration proceedings – and draws up contracts in the field of International Trade, Transport and Insurances (IHTV).
He has this specialist practice since he was sworn in as a lawyer in 1994, first in Amsterdam, subsequently within a large firm in the region, and now from Deventer, where he lives.
Matthijs frequently acts on behalf of trade companies, exporters, logistics companies, insurance companies and intermediaries. He is a member of all relevant collective organisations and is regularly invited to speak at gatherings and (in-house) training courses.
